Re·Generations is a documentary following the remaining baymen around the Barnegat Bay along the New Jersey coastline & their venture to sustain themselves, the bay and its traditions. For generations, the area sustained themselves by harvesting the wild organisms it reaped. But as industry crept in, a major biomass was removed from the bay and inadvertently overharvested, without allowing any time for rejuvenation. Now, it's rare to find any naturally occuring oysters and clams in the bay. Because of this, there has been a major decline in the industry, leaving just a few commercial baymen left. Through the transition to farming harvests and various restoration efforts, the baymen continue their livelihood out on the open waters with no promise of success.
